William Brent Speitel, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee

March 6, 1927 - August 15, 2020

William B. Speitel Jr (Doc), 93,  passed away Saturday. August 15th at his home in Nashville Tennessee.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Bill was born March 6th 1927 to Willam and Emily Speitel in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bill served in the U.S. military in WWII as a Navy pilot . He met his beautiful bride and wife of 62 years, Sallie Walker, at the end of the war and they were later married in St Louis, Missouri.

Bill attended Logan College for Chiropractics and graduated in 1950. After graduation he and Sallie moved to Nashville, TN where he setup his office in the downtown area and practiced for over 40 years. In 2013 he received an honorarium award from theTennessee Chiropractic Association.

He was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Madison Tennessee for 60 years. He served in numerous positions in the church throughout many of those years.

Sallie preceded Bill in death by11 years.  He was survived by his four children; Emily (Speitel) Rawlings, Dr. William A. Speitel, Richard A. Speitel, and Cynthia (Speitel) Culver, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held September 12th,  2020 at 10:00am at Ascension Lutheran Church in Madison,TN. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the William Speitel Memorial Fund at Ascension Lutheran Church.
