William Edwin Espersen, Jr. of Hermitage, Tennessee

In Loving Memory of William E. Espersen Jr. (age 89) born December 27, 1930 in El Paso, TX, passed away surrounded by his family on November 23, 2020 at Summit Hospital, Hermitage, TN.  Beloved husband of 35 years to Barbara Espersen (Judy).  Loving father of Michael Espersen, Regina Hinton, Cyndi (Sam) Swafford, Denise (Mark) Gibson, step-father to Pam (David) Price, Mark (Perrie) Robertson, Michelle (Don) Rollins, Renee (Don) Holcomb, 18 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.  Predeceased by his parents Jean Poteet and William E. Espersen Sr., brother Thomas Espersen and cherished grandmother Pearl McConnell.  Survived by sisters Melba Sumners and Billie Hayes.

God took this wonderful man to heaven that day.  He was a loving father, stepfather, husband and friend.  He was a family focused man; we could count on to be at every family event, ballgame, school program, graduation, wedding, recital and family function… all the many milestones in life.  He was always smiling and willing to help in any way he could.  We loved him and he loved us.

We will always think of you when we see cake donuts and bananas.  Your giving heart and willingness to help everyone is an amazing legacy you leave behind for all of us to follow. We were blessed to have you in our lives… we will miss you.
