Virginia Jo Boyd of Spring Hill, Tennessee

December 7, 1933 - October 1, 2022

On Saturday October 1, 2022, Virginia Jo Boyd, loving, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at the age of 88.

Jo was born on December 7, 1933 in Pulaski, TN to parents W.C. and Lucille Adams. She married her high school sweetheart, John Leon Boyd, on December 14, 1952. Together they raised five children; John, Debbie, Pam, Brenda, and Jim.

She was a very devoted wife and mother.  She supported her husband in everything he did.  She was widely known for her hospitality and service to others.  She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman who cared for and provided for her husband and family, sewing clothes for her family, providing an exceptional home for her children, known as a great housekeeper and cook.  She loved to work in the yard and grow flowers.

Jo is preceded in death by her husband John Leon Boyd, her father W.C. (Willie) Adams, her mother Lucille Adams, and sister Billie Adams Brown Keller.

She is survived by her son Dr. John Boyd (Kay) Cunningham, KY; daughters Debbie Dowell (Paul) Exton PA, Pam Grushon (Jim) Dayton OH, Brenda Roberts (Randy) Spring Hill TN; son Jim Boyd (Kim) Huntsville AL; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; sisters Betty and Connie; and brothers James and Ronnie.

Services will be held at Rolling Hills church of Christ, 2001 Wall St. Spring Hill, TN. Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2022 beginning at 12:00 pm with a memorial service at 1:00 pm.
