The world has lost a beautiful soul but heaven has welcomed its angel home. Vickie Gail Brown was gifted to this earth on a Tuesday, June 17, 1958, in Charleston, WV, where the sound of her voice was ever first heard, as an infant's cry. From that moment, she began to build the eccentric life she led, which blessed her parents, Kenneth Johnson, Sr. and Freda Milan, with a beautiful daughter, her husband, Ronald W. Brown, with a loyal and devoted wife, her children, Gary Douglas Craigo (wife Autumn) and Amanda Craigo Ward (husband Lamar) and stepchildren, Alicia Linder and Kenny Brown, with the love of a mother that could move mountains, her sisters, Debbie Cramer (preceding her in death), Sheila "Lucy" Conyer, Cindy Aracri, Dee Dee Johnson, Angel Bradford and Sunshine Bradford and brothers Kenneth Johnson Jr. and Bubby Brandford, with the everlasting bond of a sibling who was also their best friend, her grandchildren, Justin Craigo, Vincent Craigo, Victoria Craigo, Tyler Partain, Noah Ward, Noalani Ward, Zane Bennett, Taylor Bennett, Michael Carter, Peyton Carter, and Lydia Stone. and great grandchildren, Decklan, Titus, London, Brayden and Khloe, with an aged wisdom they will benefit from for the rest of their lives and 7 nieces and nephews with the coolest Journey & Barry Manilow-loving Aunt ever.
Vickie was the levelheaded, go-to person when someone she loved needed a shoulder to cry on. She was the backbone for her family. Vickie was a very beautiful woman and put off such a bright and welcoming light, everyone was attracted to not only her beauty but her spirit as well. She will be truly missed, especially by her daughter and mother, whom were her two best friends.
Vickie has been cremated by Alternative Cremation & Funeral Service and her celebration of life will be at 2PM on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Shady Cove Restaurant, in Castalian Springs.
