Theodore "Ted" John Zientek, Jr., 79, of
Franklin, TN died November 20, 2017.
Born on November 29, 1937 in Galveston, TX, he was the son
of Theodore J. Zientek, Sr and Doris Huffman Zientek. He
was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Stuart
Galloway and sister Juanita Mascorro. He is survived by
his wife Jill A. Zientek of Franklin, TN; his 3 children
Mark W. Zientek and wife Donna of Cary, IL; Michael N.
Zientek of Galveston, TX and Michelle Zientek Gonzalez and
husband Leo Gonzalez of League City, TX; his grandchildren:
Chase Beck, Dakota Zientek, Jessica Gibson, Niccolas
Gonzalez, Alexandrea Gonzalez; and great granddaughter
Syphira Alford; his sisters Mary Elizabeth "Betty Ann"
Rieche and Norma Jean Foley. He will be fondly remembered
by his mother-in-law Mary King Abrams and his brother-inlaw
Chad T Peyton along with many beloved nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
He was a graduate of Kerwin High School in Galveston, TX
and The University of Houston, thereafter having a long
successful business career.
Ted had a larger than life personality that seemed to fill
a room with his humor and love of life. He was loved by
all who knew him. He was a member of St. Philip Catholic
Church-Franklin, TN. and was also a Eucharistic Minister
providing ministry services to Williamson County Hospital
and the local prison.
A mass honoring Ted's life will be held at St. Philip
Catholic Church, 2nd Ave. South, Franklin, TN beginning at
11:00am on Saturday, December 02, 2017 (visitation will
begin at 10:00am). A reception celebrating his life will
immediately follow.
