Thamg Lian of Antioch, Tennessee

March 19, 1979 - November 27, 2022

Thang Lian left us to join the Lord Jesus Christ from Vanderbilt Hospital on November 27, 2022 due to health problems.

Mr. Lian was born in March 1979 in Tuimang Village, Myanmar, the 6th sibling out of 12. He went to school from kindergarten to middle school in the village and went to high school in Tonzang Township, 18 miles away from  his family. During his youth, he was involved in several sports but soccer was his favorite sport. After high school, he went to Mizo State to work.

In 2005, he found a better job opportunity in Thailand and then moved to Malaysia to join his older brother.  For 9 years he lived in Malaysia, where he married his wife and had his eldest child. To provide for his family, he worked in a construction company and waited for an opportunity to move to the US. After waiting patiently for 9 years, the family was able to move to the US in 2014. They were blessed with 3 more daughters and 1 son. He worked in several companies to provide for his family until his final days.

Mr. Lian was a very hard working, devoted person with a kind and humble heart. He never complained about anything and always got things done. He was a respectable and respectful man who cared very much for his family and friends. He loved spending time with his family playing sports outdoors. He loved God and enjoyed being a steward. He served as the security head for the church and was involved in church maintenance, including landscaping during the weekdays. He was very reliable and always finished what he started. He not only gave his time and talent but also gave his earnings generously to the church.

Thang Lian is survived by his wife, Sian Ciang; 4 daughters and 1 son; 11 siblings; and beloved nephews, nieces, and parents.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Christ Church Chapel Hall (15354 Old Hickory Blvd, Antioch, TN 37211).
