Tammy Collier-Medley, 62, passed away peacefully May 1 at her home in Nashville, Tennessee after a hard-fought battle with cancer. A longtime resident of Cullman, Tammy was a proud member of The Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama and a retired social worker for USA Healthcare.
Tammy was born Aug. 7, 1959, in Pontiac, Michigan to Betty Collier and the late Nathan Collier. She graduated from Athens State University. She was a widow of the late Randy Medley.
She is survived by her daughter Ashley Collier-Medley of Nashville, Tennessee; “adopted children” Anthony Collier of Nashville, Tennessee and Janece Robison of Cullman; mother Betty Collier of Cullman; three sisters, Linda Collier of Quincy, Massachusetts, Janice Arsenault of Cullman and Jennifer Cacciatore of Lakeville, Massachusetts; brother Eric Collier of Cullman, mother-in-law Cora (Don) Bivens of Sewanee, Tennessee; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father.
Services will be at a later date.
Tammy loved animals, especially flamingos.
