Ryan James Thompson
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Ryan “RyRy” James Thompson, 29, of Murfreesboro, TN who left us on June 7, 2023. He is reunited with his Dad, Roy R. Thompson Jr. in Heaven.
Ryan touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was strong willed, the funniest person you’d ever meet, and although stubborn at times, he had an enormous heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. “Bruh” or “Dude” were his terms of endearment and if he called you either, he considered you a great friend. Favorite memories include his soulful melodies on his guitar, coffee coolattas, beach trips and burn outs with his sister and the countless bonfires at “The Thompson Cave”. His new found fun was watching “Wheel of Fortune” with his Mom, “Ma! Hurry it’s 6:30!”. His mom and sister, Erika, will miss the hour long phone calls that always ended with “Hey, did I tell you I love you today? No? Okay.” His departure leaves an immeasurable void that will never be filled.
Ryan was so excited to finally move down to Murfreesboro, TN from Vernon, CT to be with his mother, sister and nephews- all ready to start anew. He was filled with joy when his nephews started calling him “Uncle RyRy”. A nickname his sister Erika has called him for years. His face would light up every time he saw them. Ryan was such a great uncle and sport, loosing to Jaxon on Xbox and playing "Dinadors" (dinosaurs) with Hudson- "you be Godzilla, uncle RyRy".
Ryan leaves behind his “Ma” Lisa Thompson, his sister, Erika (Thompson) Roberts, his brother in-law, Garrett Roberts, nephews, Jaxon and Hudson Roberts of Murfreesboro, TN, brother, Roy R. Thompson III and his wife Alicia Thompson, niece Ariona Thompson of Spanaway, WA, sister, Rebecca Thompson of Windham, CT. He also leaves behind his grandparents Karen “Maga” and Greg “Paga” Stewart of Destin, FL, grandfather James “Pop” Boyle of Willington, CT., along with many special aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and great friends. He will always be remembered for the love he had for all.
Services will be private for his immediate family. Your thoughts and prayers for Ryan and The Thompson Family are greatly appreciated.
