Ronald Bill Harrison

May 23, 1958 - December 27, 2016

Mr. Ronald (Ron) Bill Harrison, age 58, of Brentwood, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He was born on May 23, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Ronald and Barbara McCall Harrison. He attended S. R. Butler High School and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He had a long career as a talented and creative civil engineer designing parks, greenways, and commercial and residential developments throughout Alabama and Tennessee.
Ron was a devoted husband and father and was an avid outdoorsman, spending his time with his family traveling the country, camping, canoeing, hiking, coaching softball, and never missing a dance recital or school activity. He loved studying Native American history, working outside, restoring his grandfather's pick-up truck, and watching UT football. His creative and artistic skills were unlimited. He and his family attended Brentwood Baptist Church.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald L. Harrison and Barbara McCall Harrison. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Smith Harrison; daughters, Rachel N. Harrison and Caroline M. Harrison; sister, Janice Harrison (Mike Junkins); family dog, Jaxx; nephews, Zachary Smith and Shane Smith; great niece, Fallon Smith; great nephew, Finch Smith; and uncles, aunts and cousins.
