Robert Rhoades Peat

Robert (Bob) Peat, age 84, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Brentwood, TN. He was born March 27, 1933 in Hudson, OH, son to the late Cecil and Vera (Milroy) Peat.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, John Peat, Roger Peat and George Peat and 2 sisters Mary Dennis and Evelyn Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Sue (Church) Peat, beloved sister Alberta Prall of Meadville, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Bob served in the Air Force from 1950-1954 during the Korean War as an airplane mechanic and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He then worked for and retired from the US Postal Service in Akron, OH. He and his loving wife Sue retired in Northern California near Palo Cedro where they enjoyed RVing, traveling, and hiking. They moved to Brentwood, TN to live near his sister in January 2015. Bob can be remembered wearing his signature smile and his knack for making friends anywhere and everywhere. Bob was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend. His humor kept everyone laughing and smiling. Those who had the honor of meeting him are forever changed having known such a good, kindhearted, funny, dear, sweet man.
A graveside memorial will be held at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN on November 20th at 1 pm for family and friends.
