Robert Gifford Lincoln, husband, father, “Papa”, dear friend, died while surrounded by his family after a brief illness on January 5 th , at the age of 77.

Robert, also known by friends as Bob and Linc, grew up in Sharon, Ma. He was the son of the late Viola Gifford Lincoln and Louis A. Lincoln, the former President of Bay State Tap and Die of Mansfield, Ma. Bob was the brother of the late Louis A. Lincoln Jr., President of Lincoln Industrial Fasteners.

Bob graduated from The Fessenden School in Newton, Ma., prior to attending Cushing Academy where he was captain of the 1963 varsity hockey team. He graduated from Hawthorne College where he met Leslie, his wife of 53 years. He and Leslie settled in Norfolk, Ma., where they raised their daughter Allison and son Todd. Bob spent his summers in Menauhant, East Falmouth, enjoying time spent on the water with friends on his beloved Lyman run about, the JoLoBo. Bob served his country in the Army Reserves, then worked for Victor Coffee Company in South Boston, Ma.  After retiring, he started Home Works, a successful property management company.  Although Bob was busy with work, he always made time for his grandchildren, friends and spending time with Leslie sailing Narragansett Bay on their Cape Dory sailboat, Gosling . Bob was a member Great Blue Hill Sail and Power Squadron.

Bob was as a humble, kind and giving person who was always happy to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Many regarded him as a father figure but all regarded him as a friend.

He is survived by his wife Leslie and daughter Allison, both of Norfolk, Ma., their son Todd and grandchildren Walker and Clara of Franklin, TN., sister Jane Lincoln Miller of Mitchville, MD. and beloved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
