Rachel E. Ketchum, 87, died Friday, September 11, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 16 at 1:00 P.M. at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 2302 Highland Ave., Columbia, TN. Rev. Gene Shelton and Rev. Danny Buie officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends and family on Tuesday, September 15 from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Grace Church of the Nazarene and on Wednesday, September 16 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Grace Church of the Nazarene. Rachel Ketchum was the daughter of the late Hobert McKinley Boswell and the late Rosa Buie Boswell. Her husband, Clarence D. Ketchum, preceded her in death. She was a charter member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. Rachel Ketchum loved everyone. She enjoyed cooking and canning, and she loved flowers and the outdoors.
Survivors include her son, Gregory S. Ketchum of Columbia, TN; daughter, Wanda Ketchum Blackford (Milton) of Spring Hill, TN; sisters, Martha Thurman of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Cora Laverne Fulmer of Columbia, TN; grandson, Andrew Blackford of Spring Hill, TN; and great granddaughter, Alyssa Blackford of White House, TN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Calvin Boswell, William Boswell, Ernest Boswell, and John Boswell; sisters, Lucy Brown and Ina Carol Black; and granddaughter, Emily Blackford.
