Paul Henry Baron passed away on Thursday September 28th, at home with family and friends near, after a long battle with cancer. Paul was born on November 15, 1953 in Tonawanda, NY, son to Frances and the late Paul Baron. Paul and his family moved to Columbia in 1991 with General Motors and "Found a home in these Tennessee Hills." Paul was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and generous friend to many.

He is survived by his mother Frances; wife of 45 years Ginny Baron; children, Melanie (Doug) Woody of Santa Fe, Justin (Anita) Baron of Franklin, and Wendy Seagraves-Baron of Columbia; grandchildren, Tori, Kayla and Michael of Santa Fe, Andrew and Megan of Franklin and Grace and Logan of Columbia; and beloved brother John Baron of North Tonawanda, NY.

Paul was a well-known local artist, musician and song writer. Paul was a member of Saint Catherine's Catholic Church where was a dedicated member of the folk group. He also was a member of the Columbia Arts Guild where he regularly displayed his paintings.

Paul enjoyed vacationing on the beach where he would regularly create sand sculptures and sail. He also enjoyed camping, tinkering in the garage and spending time with his buddy Ollie the schnauzer. He felt blessed to be able to be a part of his grandchildren's lives.
The family will hold a service in his honor at St. Catherine's Catholic Church on Saturday morning, October 14, 2017 at 11 am Family will be available for visitation prior to the service from 10 to 11am .Later that afternoon, family and friends are welcome back to their home for a post- memorial reception, with music provided by some members of the church folk group .
In lieu of flowers, Paul suggested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or if preferred, plant a tree in his honor.
