Michael Ray Edwards of Murfreesboro, Tennessee

July 25, 1948 - December 21, 2023

Michael Ray Edwards was born in Nashville, TN on July 25, 1948 to the late Betty Jo Edwards (deceased) and Curtis Preston Edwards (deceased).  After suffering several strokes, Michael left his earthly home on December 21, 2023.

Michael attended Isaac-Litton High School, where he played football.  He graduated from Austin Peay University.  He attended Middle Tennessee State University in pursuit of his master's degree.  He accepted employment with Xerox and later Toshiba selling medical equipment, which afforded him an opportunity to travel and work abroad.

He is survived by his wife, Dr Judy Douglas Holmes.  He leaves to mourn him; one daughter, Michele Edwards, by a previous marriage.  Michael is survived by his sister, Sharon Edwards; two brothers, Joseph Edwards (Esther); Patrick Edwards (Brenda).  He had one nephew (Chris Edwards) and three nieces (Tracy Sharpe, Alicia Gambrell and Jocelyn Brandt).

Michael belonged to Fairfield Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, TN.  Michael was a very intellectual thinker, who enjoyed mental spas with people about the latest local and national news.  He loved to read and visit with family and friends.  He had a positive attitude and was a life-long learner.  In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree.  http:www.livingtribute.org.
