Mary Anne Wehrum of Brentwood, Tennessee

January 16, 1938 - July 18, 2023

Mary Anne Wehrum passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023, at her home in Brentwood, TN.
She was born on January 16, 1938, in Memphis, TN. Mary Anne lived a full and active life. She
had deep faith and an enduring commitment to the Catholic church. She was a pillar at Our Lady
of Perpetual Help Church in Memphis, where she served as organist for 50 years and as the first
principal of OLPH Catholic School. She was a life-long educator, committing her career to
serving the underprivileged and disadvantaged. She was an accomplished runner, at one time
holding several national age group records. She loved her dogs and she adored the beach. But
most of all, she treasured her family – and they treasured her. She is survived by her twin
daughters Lisa Churitch (Mark) and Laura Cohron (Van); her son Bill (Cindy Longobardi); her
four grandchildren, Matthew Churitch, Coleman Churitch, Katie Cambron (Aaron), and Sarah
Cohron; her sister, Teresa Hopkins; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death
by her brother, Patrick James Coleman, Jr. Mary Anne’s family expresses great appreciation for
the commitment and compassion of her caretakers at the Heritage at Brentwood, Somerfield
Health Center, and Aveanna Hospice. A funeral mass is scheduled at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July
29, 2023, in the Chapel at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Germantown, TN. Visitation
will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in Father Gresham Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family
suggests donations to the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County.
