Mary Elizabeth Sanders

June 11, 1929 - June 16, 2019

Mary (Kitty) Sanders of Mount Juliet, TN died on June 16, 2019 at the age of 90. Kitty taught school at Mt. Juliet Elementary school and worked at the Wilson County Board of Education Central Office. Later she worked as a staff member at the Crisis Center in Nashville and facilitated a Survivors of Suicide support group. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Jay W. Sanders, grandson Seth Koller, and great granddaughter Kara Darby. She is survived by her daughter Dr. Mary Sanders, son John (and Anita) Sanders, daughter Liz (and Calvin Schimmel) Sanders, grandson Russell Sanders, grandson Michael Sanders, grandson Jay Darby, and four great grandsons Nathan and Jack Sanders and Drake and Devon Darby.
A Celebration of Life to honor Kitty will be held August 10th at The Lodge located at 1229 Lakeview Drive in Franklin, TN. Visitation to start at 11:00 with the service at 12:00. The service is open to anyone who wants to share a memory or attend. Lite lunch buffet will be served and dress is casual.
