Mark Alan Holmes of Murfreesboro, Tennessee

December 13, 1964 - May 5, 2022

Mark Alan Holmes, 57 of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2022 at 2pm. Mark was born in Portland, Maine in 1964. Mark was a true northeasterner, but found his way to Murfreesboro, TN in 1989, which was his home for the past 33 years. He loved his three girls more than anything in the world and was very proud to be their father and the grandfather of their children. He cherished his last days with them by his side, grandchildren and all, loving and supporting him day and night. We are all so thankful for this time. Mark’s family and friends would say his size and strength matched his heart of gold. He was the kind of man that would give the shirt off of his back not just for those he loved, but for anyone that needed it. He was big and strong, but so genuinely humble and kind. He was a painter who started his own business, Premier Painting, in 1989. But alongside that, he was a dear friend to many and never met a stranger.

Mark is survived by his loving daughters Jessica Whigam, Amber Thomas (Dusty), Ashley Holmes and his grandchildren Colton and Liam Whigam, Avriella and Arie Thomas and our newest addition Paisley Holmes. Mark is also survived by his parents, Clifford and Carol Holmes of Hammond, IN, his sister Wendy Brown (Sam), his brother Tim Holmes (Sandy), along with his nieces and nephews. Mark also left behind his beloved dog, Trouble, who we know is already missing him so much.

Mark left this world surrounded and comforted by those he deeply loved and that deeply loved him. He will be so greatly missed by many.
