With great sadness, we announce that Kerrie Lynn Geer (52) of Murfreesboro, TN, has passed away at home surrounded by her family and beloved pets on September 25th, 2022.
Kerrie was born on March 31st, 1970, to Kenneth B. Parker Sr and Patricia A. Parker in Charleston, South Carolina. Not long after she was born, her parents relocated back to Milford, MA, where she grew up, graduated, and raised her own family—before relocating to Murfreesboro in 2010.
Kerrie had a huge heart, she always found the good in people no matter their choices or circumstances.
She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed getting her nails done, gardening and volunteering wherever she was needed. When it came to her children, family, or pets, she would truly do anything.
Her passion was to advocate, foster and adopt animals of all sizes and ages. Each one she would come to consider family. Kerrie would strive to ensure every animal that crossed her path would have the best life she could give them whether that was taking long trips to transport them to their forever homes or opening her own home. She took pride in helping as many animals as she could.
Kerrie is survived by her children : Allison Tinnon and her wife Bekah of Murfreesboro , TN , Amanda Geer of Uxbridge, MA , Nicole Geer of Murfreesboro, TN, and Nicholas Geer of Murfreesboro, TN; her partner Michelle Paradis of Murfreesboro, TN; and her grandchildren, Kaiden, Hunter, and Scarlett. Her siblings: Kenneth B. Parker Jr of Watertown SD, Kimberly Hazuka and husband Calvin of Tyler, TX , Katie Parker and husband Lance Peters of Milford, MA. Her nieces and nephews: Douglas Sherby Jr, Madison Parker, Ace Parker, Katlyn Peters, Jordan Peters, and Jayden Peters. as well as her Aunt Joanne Smith and her sons Craig Smith and his wife Sandra and Steven Smith and his wife Jenna . Kerrie is also survived by many cousins and other extended family members.
Kerrie is predeceased by her father Kenneth B. Parker Sr and mother- Patricia A. Parker both of Milford, Ma. As well as her cousins: Wayne Smith and Michelle Brosnahan; Aunt Tina (Kitty) Brosnahan, Uncle Malcom Smith; and Grandmother, Mary Birmingham.
Services will be arranged at a later date
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be sent to sponsor the care of shelter animals
