Kenneth Lee Hendrix died at Alive Hospice in Nashville on June 7, 2024 after a lengthy illness at age 66. He was pre-deceased by his mother Ocie Mullican Hendrix, his father Edward David Hendrix and his brother Edward David Hendrix, Jr. He is survived by a sister, Linda Hendrix (Brian) Moore and a cousin Wanda Broda (Tom) Stefaniak.
Kenneth was born in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky on March 23, 1958. He went to high school in Smyrna, Tennessee. He resided in Dickson for most of his adult years. He served in the United States Army and in the National Guard.
Kenneth encountered much resistance throughout his life, but he remained faithful to the convictions passed to him in his raising. He was devoted to his family and showed a great fondness for 1960s and 1970s dramatic and musical culture.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Kenneth’s caregivers at Alive Hospice, Williamson County Medical Center, Southern Hills Hospital, Trevecca Rehabilitation Center and Bethany Rehabilitation Center. The family also wishes to thank the family of Danny and Inez Norman for the many kindnesses extended to Kenneth over the years.
There will be a Memorial Service for Kenneth at St. George’s Church in the chapel at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 10. Visitation will precede the service starting at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a gift to the charity of your choice or to Alive Hospice.
