After a courageous and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer that spanned the last 3.5 years, Kathi passed away this Wednesday, peacefully at home surrounded with love and her closest family. She was attended by her niece Meghan, Jennifer her loving hospice nurse, and Fr. Nicholas Allen of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Her greatest wish is that her participation in various clinical trials as well as the standard treatments she received, will be beneficial to those that come after her.
Katherine is preceded in death by her father Theodore T. Minc (1977) and her grandparents Theodore & Alice Minc and Stanley & Sophie Zielinski. She is survived by her partner Nathan Kerley, her daughter Jade Niehoff (father Carl Niehoff), her son Zachery Kerley, her daughter Kendall Kerley, her mother Rose Minc Sweeney (nee Zielinski, Florida), her sisters Juli Vereb (husband Brian - Florida) and Leslie Skelton (husband Damian - Tennessee), and her brothers Ryan Minc (Nevada) and Corey Minc (wife Amy - Ohio). She is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 30, 2017, 11:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 1601 N. Tennessee Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN. Reception to follow.
