Jimmy Dwight Middleton

Jimmy Dwight Middleton, 80, of Franklin, TN passed on peacefully at his home on November 23, 2023. He was the son of William Allen Middleton and Mabelline Clift Middleton. He is survived by his sister Mona Brown Leeth (Ken) and his three children, Cindy Stecker, Dale Middleton (Heather), Candace Rishel (Lew), and his stepdaughter Katie McWilliams (Derrick). He also leaves behind four beautiful grandchildren, Mara, Elise, Eden, and Gracen and a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother William Travis Middleton and his wife Annie Middleton.

Jimmy Dwight (JD) was a decorated veteran. He went into the United States Navy at age 16 and served over 10 years as a radio operator. He received an Armed Forces Expeditionary medal for his time in Cuba and a National Defense Service Medal. After the Navy, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a Personnel Systems Manager. He served over 13 years and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. In his time serving, he visited numerous countries and enjoyed his time abroad.
JD has lived In Franklin since 1986 where his brother Travis and sister Mona lived. He worked at the Franklin Post Office where he was well-known and served on the Orleans Estates Board where he resided.

He will be laid to rest at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN.
