James Robert Watts of Nashville, Tennessee

September 9, 1942 - March 29, 2020

James Robert Watts, known as “Bob”, “Dad”, “Papi”, “Papa” and “Grandpa”, 77, passed from this earth on Sunday, March 29 th , 2020, in his home surrounded by his family.

He leaves his wife of 53 years, Carmen (Velasquez) Watts; his children, James David Watts, Sue Ann Eubanks (Mel), Jerry Don Watts (Kim), John Daniel Watts (Ira); his beloved grandchildren, Cameron, Meg, Alexia, Simone, Julian and Nina; his identical twin, George P. Watts (Rebecca); his sisters, Sheila K. Stewart (John) and Mari J. Watts; as well as many family members and dear friends.  He is predeceased by his parents, James Doyle Watts and Beulah (Brasuel) Watts; and his sister, Linda Watts.

Bob was born in Amarillo, Texas to Curly and Bea Watts.  He lived in the Virgin Islands for 15 years where he met his wife, Carmen, and they started their family.  Bob was a contractor for much of his life and an avid gardener.  He loved the Lord and was incredibly proud of his family.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at The Governor’s Club, 19 Governor’s Way, Brentwood, TN  37027 on Saturday, August 15 th , 2020 at 10:30am.

The family requests that any donations made in lieu of flowers should be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
