Hillard Lee McConnell III of Franklin, Tennessee

July 26, 1937 - August 26, 2020

On Wednesday, August 26, 2020 Hilliard Lee McConnell III of Franklin,Tennessee, loving husband and father of four, passed away at the age of 83. Lee was born in Atlanta, GA to H.L. McConnell Jr. (Buddy) and Lula  Brannon McConnell. He was a graduate of Southwest HS in Atlanta, GA and received his BA degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in Charleston, class of 1959. He retired in 1992 from Hershey Foods Corporation as Director of Risk Insurance and Security.

Forever remembered by a devoted wife of 57 years, Patricia (nee Houston); four children, Mary Louise Millett (Rich), Beth Lafferty (Dave), Hilary Boucher and H.L. McConnell IV (Nikki); sister, Louise Paddock; ten grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Lee is predeceased by sister, Betty Jo Edel.

Lee was an active  member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and belonged to the Lions and Rotary Clubs. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
