Hazel Elizabeth (Beth) Large, 79, wife of William (Bill) Frederick Large, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022.

Born in Summersville, WV, Beth was the daughter of the late Leo and Helen King.  She graduated from North Gallia (OH) High School in 1960.  She attended Rio Grande College and then moved to Columbus, OH to work as the Executive Secretary to the VP of The Ohio Fuel Gas Company.  Beth and Bill met while in 1 st grade and Bill told friends in 5 th grade that he would one day marry Beth.  Bill and Beth were married on August 1, 1964 and resided in the Gallipolis, OH area.  Once Bill and Beth started their family, Beth left her position in the Commercial Loan Department at Ohio Valley Bank and became a devoted mother to her children.

After moving to Brentwood, TN in 1983, Beth and her family joined Brentwood United Methodist Church (BUMC) where she remained a member until her death.  While at BUMC, Beth served on several Sonshine Youth Choir Auctions, the Church Building Committee and as a volunteer receptionist.

In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by her two sons, William Page (Page) Large (Heather) and David Large (Heather); five grandchildren, Allie, Lacie, Joshua, Ryan and Lindsey; one brother, JB King, one sister, Becky Maclean (Jack) and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.  Preceded in death by infant brother, Paige King.

Funeral services will be held at Brentwood United Methodist Church on February 18, 2022.  Visitation will be held from 10 – 11am CST in the Narthex.  The funeral service will be held 11am – 12pm CST in the Sanctuary with an internment service immediately following the funeral service at the BUMC Columbarium where she will be laid to rest.
