GW was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a veteran who served honorably in the USMC’s 1st Battalion 5th Marines from 1959 to1963. GW moved from his hometown of Lawton, Oklahoma to Nashville Tennessee where he worked for Nashville Metropolitan Development Housing from 1969 to1997, when he retired. GW met his life partner Susan Pregel in 1986 together they celebrated 34 years until his untimely death. Preceded in death by parents Rufus and Ocie Taylor, Siblings and in-laws Bob and Vivian Taylor, Dale and Betty Taylor, Brad and Betty Carlisle, Therman and Nan French, Colonel George Green. Survived by life partner Susan Pregel, siblings and in laws John and Betty Taylor, Jane Green, Robert and Charlene Maple. Children Sharlena Taylor, James and Sarah Pregel, four grand children many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. GW will be cremated. A military memorial service will be held at a later date. GW will have his ashes scattered in Lawton,Oklahoma along with his life partners upon her demise.
