George Raymond Kilmon

George Raymond Kilmon Sr., age 72, of Madison, TN passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 surrounded by family. George was born May 28, 1945, in Hendersonville, TN to the late Fred Kilmon Sr. and Lillie Burton Kilmon.
Most of his life he worked as a heavy equipment operator and diesel mechanic. He was known for his knowledge and mechanical touch with cars, mowers,and restoration of antiques. George was a man of integrity, loyalty and never met a stranger in all his years. His quick wit and humor kept a smile on the faces of those around him.
George is preceded in death by his parents, eldest son, George "Doc" Raymond Kilmon Jr., sister, Maxene Celsor Kilmon and two stepsons, Keith and Jeff Goostree.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Pauline Kilmon of Madison, TN, youngest son, Michael D. Kilmon and daughter in-law Jo Henderson of Madison, TN, stepson & wife Larry and Aurie Goostree of Nashville, grandsons, Cameron Lee Henderson, Tristan Aaron Kilmon and Anthony Lane Kilmon of Mount Juliet, TN, Grandson and Wife Jared and Tara Goostree great grandkids Kaden and Grace Goostree, his siblings, Fred Kilmon Jr. of Gallatin, TN, Maxey Kilmon of Castalian Springs, TN, Robbie (Bob) Hnilo of Aurora, IL, Larry Kilmon of Gallatin,TN Daughter in-law Kellye Goostree and family and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of LIfe is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15 at 10am at Madison Funeral Home in Madison, TN for family and friends..
