Scott, Senior Chief Frank D., USN Retired , passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2020 surrounded by his loving family and faithful canine companion, Sophie. Frank was born in Huntsville, AL on September 10, 1943. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Linda Scott, his two daughters, Cheryl Scott, Kathy Parker (Steve) and his one beloved grandson, Will Parker, as well as his step-brother, David Childers, for whom he was so grateful after growing up as an only child. Frank was pre-deceased by his brother, Willis Dale Scott, who left this world in infancy, and his parents Sterling E. and Avis Christine Scott, who are eagerly awaiting his arrival in heaven.

Frank was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served 20 years in the U.S. Navy where he specialized in aviation electronics. During his military service Frank pursued his college degree and later completed his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University becoming a “first generation college graduate” for his family. Frank loved intellectual pursuits and inspired a love of learning and the pursuit of higher education in his daughters and grandson. He also had a great sense of humor and an unforgettable laugh that brought joy to his friends and family. Frank was loved by many and he will be missed. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 6th, 11 AM, at the Middle Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery, 7931 McCrory LN, 37221. All are welcome.
