March 13, 1930 - August 3, 2020

Frances Lane Gadsey, beloved wife of Charles Ray Gadsey for 68 years, was call home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3, 2020.  Frances was born in Nashville, TN, on March 13, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Andrew P. and Louise (Dunn) Lane.  She was an active member of Woodbine United Methodist Church since April 9, 1939, and was a long-standing member of The Friendship Sunday School Class.  Frances and Charles are survived by their three children, Karen Webb and her husband Roy of Chattanooga, TN; Barry Gadsey of Nashville, TN; and Steve Gadsey and his wife Honey of Brentwood, TN.  Frances leaves 7 grandchildren (Jason, Adam, Lori, Matt, Robin, Ryan, and Robert) and 11 great grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late Andrew P. Lane, Jr. who is survived by his wife Gladys Lane of Windsor, CT.  In addition, Frances leaves several nieces and nephews.  Frances was an award-winning artist, avid gardener, and accomplished water skier.  She loved her family dearly and the times spent with family and friends at Center Hill Lake.  The Family wishes to extend their many thanks to the nurses, aids, and personnel at Morning Pointe-Brentwood, TN, and Life Care of Collegedale, TN.  A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville, TN (Hillcrest Site).  Pallbearers will be Jason Webb, Adam Webb, Matt Gadsey, Ryan Gadsey, Robert Gadsey, Ben Herwehe, Peter Ellison, and Ken Browning, Jr., with honorary pallbearers The Friendship Sunday School Class.  Flowers may be arranged through Ann Smith Florist, 615-227-5438.
