Elmer Adam Cosby Jr., 81 of Nashville , Tennessee , passed away peacefully on June 8, 2022 after a valient battle with colon cancer.
He was born February 19, 1941 in Nashville , Tennessee to the late Elmer Adam Cosby Sr and Anne Frances ( Ford) Cosby. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Earl E. Cosby Sr. and Perry Lee Cosby Sr. and best friend Glen Eugene Sanders Sr.
Elmer proudly served in the United States Army. After his military service he was an ambulance driver for Phillips & Robinson Funeral home. The rest of his career he worked in the boat manufacturing industry where he retired in 2006.
He was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. He loved wood working ( he was quite the carpenter), fishing, attending his grandson Chance's soccer games, collecting movies, Nascar, his dog Stella ( deceased) and his McDonalds coffee.
Elmer is survived by his daughter Lori D. ( Cosby) Wiginton, son's Mark Dewayne Cosby, Christopher Lynn Cosby ( Theresa), Christopher John Cosby ( Tiffany), Grandson's Chancelor Adam Wiginton, Jonah Tyler Cosby, granddaughters Ariel Grace McCord and Mila Marie Cosby. Friend and ex-wife Frances Darlene ( Denson) Cosby Nichols. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the Accent Hospice Care team and his SPECIAL caretakers at West Meade Nursing home Vanessa Quilantan and Stephanie Fischer.
Elmer will be cremated and a private celebration of life will be held for family at a later date.
