Dottie E. Phillips, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Franklin, TN on February 21, 2023. Predeceased in death by her siblings Patricia, Mary, and Allen, by her husbands George W. Hill Jr and James T. Phillips, and by her grandson Ashley H. Sansoucy.

Dottie is survived by her brother John (Barb) Kain, Hannawa Falls, NY, her daughters Jenny (Paul) Ludwig, Vonore, TN,  Catherine (Scott) Sansoucy-Robinson Rome, NY and Victoria (Mike) Hynes Franklin, TN and her step children Jimmy (Joan) Phillips Black Lake, NY and Sue-Ella Watson Black Lake, NY, her grandchildren Tyler P. Sansoucy, Kayleigh Hynes, Michael Hynes, Ryley Hynes, and great-grandson Cayden Sansoucy, as well as a niece and several nephews.

Dottie was born September 21, 1936 in Syracuse, NY.  She was the daughter of the late Allen and Katherine Kain. Dottie attended and graduated from Syracuse schools and specialized in cosmetology. Dottie and her husband George owned Ted’s Bakery in Ogdensburg, NY. For several years Dottie owned a hair salon in her Ogdensburg home.

Her favorite pastimes were bingo, golf, and playing board games with her family. Dottie’s wishes were for a private family memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Retrieving Independence, Nashville, TN or the American Diabetes Association.
