Dorothy Carol Walker Gorodetzky of Nashville, Tennessee

March 23, 1942 - November 16, 2023

On November 16th, 2023, the love of my life for the past 43 years passed away.

Carol Walker Gorodetzky was a multi-talented person.  She played in the Nashville Symphony for many years.

Carol attended Ransom Elementary School and West End High School.

She spent a lot of her time in the later years running the West High website.  She also spent time on other West High projects.

Her favorite pastimes when she wasn't working on West High projects were reading and watching Jeopardy.

Carol did a wonderful job of raising our 3 children: Alex, Eric and Elaine.

Carol was also a wonderful grandma and great-grandma.  She loved all 10 of our grandchildren and our 2 great-grandchildren.

Carol and I met when both of us were playing in the Symphony.  Our honeymoon was a train trip from Chicago to San Francisco and back.  We were both train freaks!!

We were lucky to still be healthy 15 years ago and able to take 10 major trips; cruising to the Med, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, etc.

Special thanks go to my daughter, Elaine, who for the last four months was caretaker for me during this rough time.  I couldn't have gone through all of this without her.

We were all devastated when cancer hit.  Carol did her best to fight it but lost the fight last week.

Life will indeed be lonely without her.
