Franklin - Doris Henninger Torrence passed away September 18 at her home in Franklin, Tennessee.

Doris grew up in Germersheim, Germany and came to the United States in the 1960s when she married an American Army Officer.

She was a gourmet cook, a world traveler, and spent many winters in St. Kitts and Nicaragua. While at home in Franklin, her passion was her garden. She designed and maintained one of the most beautiful gardens in Williamson County. She was loved by family and friends and will always be remembered as the beautiful and charming wife, mother, and friend she was to all.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Friedrich and Margit Henninger, twin brothers, Klaus and Rainer Henninger, and her grandson, Brian Troy.

She is survived by her husband Dale, children Claudette Pilger (Richard) of Vienna, VA, Christine Kratzke (Robby) of Arvada, CO, and Rob McGough (Mana) of Denver, CO, and grandchildren Mitchell Troy and Leila McGough.

She is also survived by stepchild Marga Mikulecky (Paul), their children Colin and Owen, stepchild Marc Torrence (Beverly), children Marc and Mitchell, and Beth Shearon (mother of Marc and Mitchell).

Services will be held in remembrance of Doris at 3:00 p.m. on October 16, 2021 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, located at 908 Murfreesboro Road, Franklin, Tennessee 37064. A short reception will be held after the services at Dale and Doris’ home - details will be provided at the service. Doris will eventually be laid to rest in Germersheim, next to her mother.
