Daniel Allen Corlew of Brentwood, Tennessee

March 29, 1991 - February 16, 2023

Daniel Allen Corlew, age 31, of Brentwood, Tennessee, passed away at home on February 16, 2023 after a brief illness.

“Big Dan”, as he was affectionately known by friends, was the first child of Debra and Allen Corlew. He was born and lived his entire life in the Nashville area. Daniel grew up playing football for the Brentwood Blaze, J.T. Moore Middle School, and Hillsboro High School. In 2009, he graduated from Hillsboro and then attended Middle Tennessee State University.

Daniel worked for Metro Parks where he rebuilt trails for two summers at Percy Warner Park. It was during this time that he discovered his love for the outdoors. He then worked for almost ten years at McCabe Golf Course. If you knew Daniel, you know he hated golf and never completed a round of golf in his life.

Daniel was blessed with a great sense of humor and loved pulling pranks on family and friends. Whether he was quoting movie lines, or doing a Chris Farley impersonation of “Down by the River”, he could always make people smile. He loved all kinds of music, but some of his favorites included Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson. Under his tough guy exterior, he had a huge heart for those he cared about. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Debra and Al Corlew, and sister, Alexandra Corlew. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends. A gathering of friends will be held at a later date.

Special thanks to Lauren, RN, from Shalom Hospice.   She did an exceptional job of getting us thru this very difficult time.
