Dana Susan Carey of Goodlettsville, Tennessee

October 22, 1954 - December 30, 2020

Dana was a graduate of Maplewood high school, class of 72. She was retired from the IRS, in her words “please don’t hold that against her”. She was the epitome of a free spirit hippie that believed in equal rights and democracy. Best known for her smart and funny sense of humor. She loved reading cook books, sewing, gardening and her cats.

Preceded in heaven by her parents Ray and Ginger Carey and also her sister Kelly Rainey. She is survived by so many friends including her beloved Ya-Ya’s, La Petite Ya-Ya’s and nieces and nephews Donavan Harris of Nashville TN, Amanda Rainey of Hermitage TN, Dana Jill Rainey of Old Hickory, Aaron Rainey of Cookeville TN, Junius Jackson of Burbank CA.

A celebration of love and life will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Dana has asked that you plant a tree in honor of her and please remember her anytime you hear the Beatles playing.
