Dalford (Dave, Paw Paw) Collins passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Brentwood, TN. He was born in Birmingham, AL on August 8, 1931.
Dalford is preceded in death by his wife, Toni, son, Michael and sister, Clara Leigh.
He is survived by his children and their spouses:
Danny & Leah Collins of Birmingham, AL
Connie & Bobby Williams of Brentwood, TN
Dana & Cindy Collins of Hastings, MN
His 2 stepchildren: Jim & Julie Stephens of Atlanta, GA and Nelda Stephens of Minneapolis, MN
His 5 grandchildren: Michael Repke, Brian Collins, Tim Collins, Collin Williams & Grant Williams
His 2 step grandchildren: Noah & Nicholas Stephens
His 7 Great Grandchildren: Luke, Ellie, Eli, Caleb, Grant & Jacob Collins & Maddox Repke
Several nieces & nephews
Dalford worked as a Chemical Engineer for most of his life. He traveled and lived in South America, Australi.a, Hawaii and many places in the U.S. He and his family settled in Hasting, MN where he retired. He loved the outdoors. He was a great vegetable gardener, amazing golfer & fantastic fisherman. You would find him most days either in his garden, golfing with friends or on the dock of his lake cabin fishing. You would also find him with a big grin on his face, a joke coming from his mouth and his Alabama hat on his head.
He loved Alabama football and anyone who would shake his hand and tell him "Roll Tide".he would reply "Roll Tide Roll"!
He will be greatly missed!
Family & friends are invited to a memorial service that will be held in celebration of his life on Saturday, September 1, 2018 @ 11:00am @Trinity United Methodist Church in the Mouat Chapel @ 1400 Oxmoor Rd. Homewood, AL 35209
