Cindy Lynn Williams-Barlow

Cindy Lynn Williams-Barlow of Nashville, TN, has passed away peacefully at the age of 57 (12/30/1965-4/17/2023). Cindy was born in Manistique, MI, and chose a life of travel and adventure after graduating high school living in many cities across the US from Frederick, MD, to Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, Sarasota, FL, Phoenix, AZ and called Nashville, TN home for the last 10 years. She also spent a few years overseas in Germany where she gained her appreciation for strong coffee and a good beer. In Nashville, she worked at Community Health Systems and met co-workers who turned into friends then into family, a trait she carried having made meaningful connections wherever she was located. Outside her local Nashville family, the people she held most dear were her mother, her kids, and her granddaughters who she would say she ‘loved with all her heart’. Cindy had a caring demeanor and most of her adult life she had a dog companion (or two), most recently Addy, a German Shepherd, and Wyatt, a Westie.

She is survived by her mother, Judith Verbrigghe, her father and step-mother, John and Jan Williams, her daughter, Katie Dix (Chris), her son, Zachary Gardapee, and her 3 granddaughters, Kinslee, Elta, and Tuuli. She is preceded in death by her step-father, Marcel Verbrigghe.

In lieu of a funeral, Cindy will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Michigan. Please consider a donation in her name to your local American Veteran charity.

Cindy will be remembered by her warm smile, her joyous laugh, and her big heart. Please keep memory of her spirit and may she rest in peace.
