Christopher Farrar Tompkins

February 8, 1926 - September 4, 2018

Christopher Farrar Tompkins, Jr. age 92, of Franklin, TN, formerly of Burdette, AR, died peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 4, 2018. He was a graduate of Blytheville High School (AR), Class of 1943, and served in the US Navy during WWII from 1943-46. Chris was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Jimmie Frances Tompkins. He is survived by his children Chris Tompkins III (Liz) of Fayetteville, AR, Tommy Tompkins (Kathy) of Nashville, TN, Steve Tompkins (Susan) of Wetumpka, AL, Andy Tompkins (Laurie) of Nashville, TN, and Julie Tompkins Pogue of Franklin, TN; and 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sept. 11th at Clearview Baptist Church, 537 Franklin Rd, Franklin, TN, 37069 from 5-7pm. A memorial service with visitation immediately following will be held at First Baptist Church, 2900 W Keiser Ave, Osceola, AR, 72370 Sat, Sept. 22, 2018, at 1:30pm. Graveside service will be private. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Osceola, AR or Clearview Baptist ChurchMissions Fund.
