Charles ( Chuck) David Bean, Jr was born on July 9, 1963 and born to eternal life on October 19, 2021, a lifelong Nashville resident.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Sue Bean. Survived by wife Betsy Hinds Bean and daughter Adrianne ( Addie) Bean, sisters Carla (Jim) Arnette and Jamie (John) Dooley, father-in-law Joe (Jamie) Hinds and numerous beloved aunts, nieces and nephews, other extended family and many lifetime friends.
Chuck graduated from John Overton High School in 1981 and UT-Chattanooga in 1985 where he was a D1 wrestler. He was the 1981 State Wrestling Champion. He was a business developer and owner most of his career and a big contributor to the wrestling community, founder and head coach of youth Copperhead wrestling club for over 25 years as well as Grassland Middle school in Franklin. Chuck was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame In 2017. Chuck was also an avid outdoorsman with a love of boating, lake life, fishing and hunting. He was a generous friend and creative legendary prankster. Everyone who knows him well has a favorite “Chuck story”. He was dedicated to his daughter’s travel Hype softball team and Station Camp High School team.
Visitation with his family and friends will be held at Crievewood United Methodist Church in Nashville where Chuck and his family were active members for over 50 years. The visitation will be on Friday, October 22 nd from 11:00 am to 2 pm, with service to follow at 2 pm. and a reception to follow. Masks will be required. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Crievewood United Methodist Church columbarium fund.
