Cecil Darnell Holland, age 59, of Shelbyville, TN, passed away on February 22, 2017.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00AM

Cecil was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee on June 22, 1957. He moved with his parents and siblings to Detroit, MI in 1961 at the young age of four. He was baptized at an early age at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, MI.
Cecil attended Detroit Public Schools and was a 1975 graduate of Thomas M. Cooley High School. Shortly after high school, he began working at the Chrysler Corporation. He began new journey in life in 2009 by moving back to Shelbyville, TN.
Cecil was a sweet, kind and loving person who would do anything for anyone. He did not have a selfish bone in his body. Others described Cecil as a really good man who was very nice, easy to talk to and fun to be around. Cecil enjoyed listening to music and going for walks.
Cecil is survived by his brothers; John Ernest Holland (Murrieta, CA.), William Lee Holland, III (Detroit, MI), and Brian Wilson Holland (Shelbyville, TN.), Sister; Janice Arlene Holland (Detroit, MI). Aunts; Glinda S. Sutton-Bell (Shelbyville, TN), Glyndon Singleton-Holland (Pontiac, MI), Loretta Holland-Scates (Nashville, TN), Deborah Sutton (Nashville, TN), Dorothy Ann Ransom Sutton (Shelbyville, TN), and uncle John H. Holland Sr. (Milford, MI). Five nieces, two nephews, nine great nieces, eight great nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
His mother; Jimmie Lean Sutton-Holland, stepmother; Dorothy Holland, father William Lee "Slick" Holland, brother; Henry Edward Holland, uncles; Thomas Henry Sutton, James Lewis Sutton, Marshall Ray Scates, Frederick Morrison Hendricks and aunts; Rosie May Sutton-Parsons and Mai Dee Holland-Hendricks preceded Cecil in death.
