Catherine Maria Catafygiotu Bridges

Catherine Maria Catafygiotu Bridges of Holiday, FL passed away on April 25, 2024 in Franklin, TN where she had come to visit her mother.

Catherine was born in Fredericksburg, VA on February 20, 1953 to John and Toni Themis Catafygiotu.   Catherine had been baptized into the Greek Orthodox  Church in Smithfield, NC where her family had lived for many years.   Catherine attended college at the University of Florida - Gainesville where she graduated with a degree in education.   Upon graduation, Catherine became a math teacher for Junior High students in Florida.   Upon her retirement, she spent many years in Holiday, FL.

While visiting her mother in Franklin, TN, Catherine sustained injuries from a fall where she was hospitalized and passed away from the injuries.

Catherine was preceded in death by her father, John Themis Catafygiotu and sister, Marika Catafygiotu.    Catherine is survived by her mother, Toni Themis Catafygiotu, sister Niki Catafygiotu and nephew Garrett Neimer.
