Ms. Carolyn Amos Fair, surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, December 18, at the age of 72.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Giddens, (Brian) sons Chris and Jeff Fair, sisters Wylene Amos, Judy A. Lee Roberson, (Jimmy) brother James Thomas Amos, Jr., grandchildren, Amber Barlow, McKinley Giddens, Maddox Giddens, Mays Giddens, nieces Tiffany, Rekoronchelle, (Judy) Kimauni Carrol, Tymauni, (Wylene) nephew Julius, (Judy), Cameron, Nyal, Doris, Jennifer, James III, David, and 10 great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Thomas Amos Sr., sister Betty Ann Amos, and her mother, Mary Lee Magee Amos.
Carolyn was a loyal employee of almost 20 years for the TN State Department, most recently, in TennCare. She had both Bachelor’s and Masters of Business Administration degrees and was a member of Delta Sigma Theta. She was a lover of cooking and food, spending time with her grandchildren and above all else taking care of others which is how she led her life even in her final days. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2020 at Lake Providence Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, with Reverend H. Bruce Maxwell officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carolyn’s life.
