Carol Lee Deal

December 20, 1933 - February 13, 2024

Carol Lee Deal gained her wings to Heaven February 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by family and her furry companions. Carol was born December 20, 1933, in Turlock, CA to the late Roy Lee Price and Selma Lear- Hackett. Carol was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Deal and a great grandchild Alyssa Reid.

Those left to cherish her memory are her biggest blessings, her children, Wanda Suzanne Kekauoha (Eke), Linda Diane StClair (Troy), Thomas William Deal (Doris), and Christophe Jerome Deal (Julie). And her grandchildren, Nicholas Deal, Matthew Deal, Brandi Deal, Zachary Reid, Tasha Kekauoha, Sophia Deal,Spencer Deal, Erika Jones and Abigail Jones. Carol is also survived by 10 great grandchildren along with her faithful and loving animal companions, Cinnamon, Max, Tiger, Violet, Cali, Ruby, pig Wiggles and countless others.

Carol was always a survivor, growing up during the great depression, Carol was moving often, wherever the work was for her parents.  Carol eventually was raised by her grandparents where she went to school in an old dirt floor country schoolhouse in California, she proved to be rather intelligent, skipping two grades and graduating early, no matter where she traveled, she read books to learn everything she could. Even while experiencing vision loss, she enjoyed spending time playing solitaire on her computer for hours on end. Carol had a long-time love of Baseball and other sports as well.

Carol met her husband Lee aka “Deal” in Benicia, CA. Blessed with her four remarkable children, Carol and Lee sadly were divorced, and Carol never remarried.

Now a single mom of four, Carol took night classes at UC Berkley studying criminology and after graduating with a bachelor’s degree, she soon became a juvenile probation officer in California where she retired. Carol relocated several times and eventually resided with her youngest son Christophe in Tennessee where she made her final home place and filled it with love and fur companions; cared for two of her young grandchildren and enjoyed daily visits with her chickens.

Carol was loved by all those who met her from those at the local hometown pharmacy, markets and many others, to caregivers in hospitals, doctors’ offices and the Caris Hospice Nurses who cared for her dearly until her passing. Many of her children’s friends and those whom she assisted as a Probation Officer will never forget the impact she had in their lives.

“We Love, Love, Love you soooo much.” You will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to: Last Chance Pet Rescue, Inc. or Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue to honor her memory and her love of animals.

Cremation arrangements handled by Alternative Cremation & Funeral Service. The family will hold a celebration of life March 16, 2024 visitation from 10 am-11 am and a service held starting at 11 a.m at Burns Church of Christ 2718 Church Street Burns, TN 37029 to honor and remember Carol.
