She was called “Gigi” by her grandchildren after being forever dubbed as “Gigi” by her granddaughter, Heather. Betty loved spending time with family and friends, and welcomed every opportunity to do so. Her favorite pastime was to sit and talk about the good old days, even if it was yesterday. She loved reminiscing and could recall dates of events, and birthdays of anyone she ever knew. Hers was the home that all the neighborhood kids spent the most time, and even years later, many still came by to see her while she still insisted on feeding them then sitting them down to play a game of cards or Yahtzee, which brought her much happiness and laughter. She also enjoyed every chance she got to go to Wilmington, North Carolina to visit family and friends. Betty was loved by many and will be truly missed until we see her again.
