Barbara Lyndell Jones Henderson was born in Hollis, Arkansas on August 7, 1936 to Lilly and James Jones. She was the youngest of 8. She graduated from Glendyle Sanitarium and Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. She met and married Norman Leroy Henderson on November 13, 1956, who was in Medical school at Loma Linda University. She and Norman lived in California while he served in the Air Force at Vandenburg Airforce Base. Their 2 youngest were born in California and when Norman completed his 2 years of service, they moved to Lawrenceburg Tenn., where he became the local physician and she worked in his office and began raising their children She and her husband Norman served their community in Lawrenceburg for over 60 years. Barbara served on the Lions Club and with the Dorcus Society. She worked tirelessly decorating the Lawrenceburg Seven-day Adventist Church with flowers grown at her and Norman’s home, Norbara. During this time, she and Norman gave birth to another 3 children and together helped build a hospital, Scott Memorial. She organized and began the Gift Shop, managing the books and began the first volunteer society at the hospital. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Norman Henderson she is survived by her 5 children, Cindy Henderson Kildgore, Linda Henderson Terrill, Teri Henderson Bailie, Mark Henderson and Scott Henderson, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was extremely loved by all and will be missed on this earth and we look forward to seeing her again in the earth made new.
