April 26, 1926 - November 26, 2020

Audrey Mae Critzer Baber, 94, of Lewisburg, TN, died on November 26, 2020, at Poplar Estates Senior Living Community in Columbia, TN.

She was a native of Crozet, Virginia, and the daughter of the late Massie and Claudia Carter Critzer. She was retired from Faber Castell/Newell Sanford of Lewisburg, and was a member of the Cherry Avenue Christian Church in Charlottesville, Virginia.  Known to everyone as “Muz”, she was a loving wife and wonderful mother.  She enjoyed homemaking, crocheting, crafting, getting her hair done, and watching American Ninja Warrior.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Buford E. Baber; son, Buford H. Baber; son, Wayne V. Baber, and sister, Catherine Catellane.

She is survived by her only daughter, Donna (Jake) Guepe of Gainesville, Virginia; two brothers, Austin Critzer of Crozet, Virginia and Wendell (Peggy) Critzer of Louisa, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Mary Baber of Lewisburg, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Margaret Baber of Waynesboro, Virginia; step-granddaughter, Angie Ponton of Waynesboro, Virginia, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to The Gardens staff at Poplar Estates Senior Living Community and Compassus Hospice for their special care, love, and compassion.

Her body will be cremated.  At a future date, along with her husband Buford, she will be buried back in her home state in a family plot located on Monticello Mountain in Charlottesville, Virginia.
