Anne Ambrose entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2019. Anne was born March 17, 1949 in Nashville, TN to Elwyn Lee Robbins and Gloria Anne Mansfield. Anne was an exceptionally talented visual artist and was also versatile in acting and singing. Anne later used those talents for promoting mental health advocacy including speaking with several prominent lawmakers on health care topics. Later, Anne founded a theatre troupe that would travel the country, giving performances that would open up discussion of mental health issues. In her later years, Anne concentrated on her visual art, winning several regional art awards, while also becoming an expert on home shopping.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Caleb Brockner. She is survived by her long-time partner Jimmie Daniel of Nashville, one daughter Melissa Cascio (Michael Hunter) of Woodlawn, AR, two sisters, Leigh Ward (Bill Byram) of Nashville, Rita (Danny) Brockner of Nachitoches, LA, one brother, Larry Robbins of Nachitoches, LA, three grandchildern, Anne Marie (Mark) Sisk of Monroe, LA, Sarah (Billy) Smith, of Woodlawn, AR, and David (Katie) Cascio of Portland, OR, and one niece, Kathryn (Brett) Beaudoin of Robelline, LA
No memorial service is scheduled but in lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's name can be made to Alive Hospice.
