Adrianne Sue Bean of Nashville, Tennessee

January 3, 1939 - December 3, 2019

Adrianne Sue Farmer Bean was born January 3, 1939 in Starkville Mississippi and born to eternal life on December 3, 2019 in Nashville Tennessee. She was affectionately known as “Mamoose” to her grandchildren and many others who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Adrian Farmer and Johnnie Lee Watson Farmer. Survived by husband of 58 years, David Bean and children Carla Arnette (Jimmy); Chuck Bean (Betsy) and Jamie Dooley (John); grandchildren Allie Arnette, Jayce Arnette, Patrick Dooley, Mary Hannah Dooley, Job Dooley, Ivie Dooley, and Addie Bean.

Sue graduated from the Mississippi State College for Women with a degree in Home Economics in Homemaking and utilized her talents for hospitality throughout her life and in service to others.

Sue was an active member of Crievewood United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she devoted time to various ministries including the United Methodist Women, kindergarten Sunday school teaching, support of the youth group and caring for anyone in need of a good home cooked meal, a ride for medical care, and in celebration of births, weddings and other milestones. She also taught cooking classes for many years, volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank and served for over 30 years with the organization International Friends, a group developed to welcome and support international residents and students to the Nashville area.

Visitation with her family and friends will be held at Crievewood United Methodist Church in Nashville on Saturday December 7 from 12:30 pm to 2 pm, with service to follow at 2 pm, officiated by Reverend Peter van Eyes. A reception will follow the service at 3 pm at the church.
Sue was a gifted and generous neighbor, caregiver, cook, seamstress, gardener, genealogist, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved sharing her flower gardens, beautiful creek and yard for others to enjoy (including strangers who passed by to admire it) and had a passion for growing and sharing thousands of daffodils. Instead of flowers, memorials may be made to Crievewood United Methodist Church, 451 Hogan Road, Nashville TN 37220.
